The Outwell Montana 6 is widely recognised as the iconic family tent and the new Montana 6SATC (pictured below) combines the popular design with its exclusive Outtex Airtech fabric.
This dense-weave polycotton (SATC – Smart Air Technical Cotton) delivers premium performance and a self-regulating interior climate that minimises condensation while keeping the inside cool in summer and warm as the outside temperature falls.
Pitching is simplified by the use of the Outwell Advanced Air Tube System. This new air tube category features the time-proven One-go Inflation Technology that allows the camper to plug the supplied high capacity manual pump, or optional electric pump, into a single inlet valve and inflate the largest of tents in next to no time – no moving the pump between individual air tubes. A manometer on the high-volume doubleaction pump ensures the correct pressure.
The simple-to-erect and highly effective frame links pre-angled uprights via an apex tube that also acts as a ridge pole for increased rigidity. In the unlikely event of damage, each individual upright assembly can be isolated using valves (pictured above) to prevent the frame from fully deflating and to facilitate easy repair. All the air outlet valves can be opened to rapidly deflate the tent for packing.
The pre-angled uprights create extra head height and enhance wind-shedding performance – all correctly pitched Smart Air TC tents will withstand Force Ten gales. Outwell has also included its Floating Guyline and Easy Pegging Systems (pictured left) to further ease pitching and raise the stability and safety levels.
A canopy has been added to the front of the tent to provide sun protection but this can be either rolled back or zipped off to meet weather and pitch demands.
If the weather turns the Rain Safe porch with detachable groundsheet provides a wet area in which to shed wet, muddy clothes before entering the tent. Water and bugs are also kept out of the tent by the Outwell Sealed Ground System (pictured right) that sees the groundsheet permanently attached to the outer. Fully zipped-in mesh door panels work with the mesh vents to allow insect-proof ventilation.
